We spent Halloween doing a new kind of trick or treating. In this age of poisoned candy and non-celebrating neighborhoods the businesses of Seattle neighborhoods have put together a great business idea. It's like a pub crawl for the kiddie set: Halloween Business Crawl. And each neighborhood picks a different day and time so, I suppose, a very industrious family in need of lots of candy can take their young'uns to all of them. We chose Ballard... and so did everyone else in the free world. We met up with 3 other PEPs couples and their twins and walked up and down Ballard Ave looking at the costumes on adults and kids and not really doing any trick or treating, still it was fun.
Admittedly, I miss the old fashioned going-to-the-neighbors-style Halloweening. It meant that we got no trick-or-treaters at our house this year. But times, they are a-changin'.
4 sets of twins! A chicken & egg, 2 cows, 2 vikings and 2 Star Trek officers!
Noteable events:
1) a young boy was charmed by the girls and gave them each a piece of candy from his own stash. Adorable.
2) a set of 3 year old boy/girl twins who were each dressed up like the local car washes: Pink Elephant and Brown Bear. Double Adorable.
3) T&H behaved themselves the whole time. Good babies!
Chill babies. Note the hoods that hide their Vulcan ears... except Hero's. Whoops!
Laura went as Schrodinger's Cat. Which is cool, especially if you follow physics thought experiments. Or, you can Google it, like me.

The height of dorktitude!
