The Winter Months have come and, apparently with a strange February thaw, they have gone. With them went illness and foul moods and depression. The thaw brings hope and renewal. But, these past two months have also had their charms - two of them to be exact, and they happen to be named for Greek Titanesses.
Parenting is hard, and to quote my 2nd favorite Wesley, "anyone who says differently is selling something." Parenting twin toddlers is near maddening. And saddening. But in between the tears and tummy aches are sweet smiles and bear hugs and new words and trusting faces. So, to sum up: parenting - hardest, best job.
To save you from a thousand words I will now stop rhapsodizing and show you pictures.

| Hero in her first fort! |
| Tethys guards the doorway. |
| Puff tails. |
| Where the girls wait and watch for Jessi in the morning (and Papi in the evening). |
| I became a published author. Hee! |
| Hero discovering Christmas tree lights. |
| T & H are crazy about these giant legos from Uncle David and Aunt Darby. |
| On the Olympic Peninsula, a very sick Tethys only stops crying while tromping around outside in the rain. |
| So, out we went. The house behind is where we stayed for 4 (mostly sleepless) nights. |
| Twin Moment - Spontaneous hand holding. Cue Amma Mama cuteness meltdown. |
| Auntie Lola turned 30. We surprised her by delivering her best friend DJ all the way from St. Louis. She arrived in a sack during breakfast at the 5 spot. Then we celebrated with a lovely dinner at The Barking Frog. |
| Hero's turn to get sick meant she had to be carried constantly. To save my arms I put us both into my coat and let it do the heavy lifting. It felt like being pregnant again, only she made me stay outside a lot longer than she did while in utero. |
| And the city shuts down. |
| Awesome chairs/tables/blocks from Grandy and Grandpa became an obstacle course for sick toddlers during the week of Snowmaggedon 2012. |
| My turn to get sick. |
| And stay sick for 3 weeks. But I'm all better now! |
| This one is just to prove that at one time, we did have all 4 of the balls that went with this toy. There is no way it will stay that way. |
