Tethys now has two words. Uh-oh and Ma-ma. Uh-oh for when she drops something on purpose but knows she shouldn't have. And Ma-ma when she's looking for me. *melt* That sound you hear, it's the sound of my heart melting. It's almost melted enough that I am not annoyed at her rising at 5:45AM this morning instead of her normal 6:45AM.
Other almost-words from T:
- Ba-ba sometimes means Papi.
- She makes the sign for "more" but she makes it when she wants more as well as when she likes something and wants you to do it.
- She make the sign for "all done" when she's all done and also when she wants more and also when she wants your attention and also when she's happy.
- She waves goodbye and hello, sometimes.
- She blows kisses with an adorable "Bwah" sound when she is bored or likes something but not generally at people.
No words yet from Hero but she makes her needs and desires known nonetheless. For example, I know when she doesn't want the food I give her because "well-behaved Hero" will give it back to me and "ill-behaved Hero" will throw it on the floor. And I know when she wants affection because she will clobber me with hugs.
News this week:
- Tethys had a staph infection in the form of diaper rash. We have been treating it with an anti-biotic cream and allowing her a lot of naked time.
- Hero is a giant. Her feet are a full baby-toe length longer than T's. She's also a bit taller.
- Both girls think that occasionally hitting their heads against doors, floors and walls is funny. Until they hurt themselves, and then they get mad at us for letting them get hurt. Gotta love it.

| T at Doc's office. I love those pig tails! (Note her gold bead necklace - she is never without it) |
 |
| Hero and a diaper-free Tethys exploring their new (to-them) Diego jeep. They love getting pushed around the backyard while they honk the horn. | |
 |
| Nanny Jessi and I took the girls to Greenlake wading pool this week. It was a big hit. |
 |
| Hero could run so fast in the water! |
 |
| But her favorite part was climbing up a mini-waterfall and playing with the rocks. |
The twins get more interesting and are growing every day. Grandy
